Final

Patrick,
maybe you remember how I insisted to get on this Adamite group 2 or 3 days
before start because my friend was on it and I feared, that if I wasn't going
to do it then, then it may not be ever.
I am so happy I insisted and you agreed, for that thank you so much.
You made my PCP:
- My kids: Those subtle or not so subtle words of encouragement and poking to
my new found abs and biceps and the desire I had to continue to impress them
did wonders to my motivation.
- My husband: first a bit dismissive and then acknowledging the fact than I was
fitter than he ever knew me.
- My mom who did go and read my blog in English!
- All the people who after seeing my pics asked me more about PCP.
- Everyone in Gemini, some had it REALLY tough like Sashi with his back, tough
like Silke with…yeah Shaun you know, David with his cookies-baking-crazy co
workers, Shaun with the endless traveling, but all had great humor and plenty of
compassion and strength, special thanks to Sophie for her always entertaining blogs
and of course Paul for the endless sharing of rope techniques.
- Teo, who was always prompt to cheers, advise or otherwise kick our butts into
shape.
- All Adamite for being a great group with amazing accomplishments and plenty entertainment
with: 3 babies, one engagement and the stache pageant!
My PCP in numbers:
- lost 20.6 lbs and 9 pairs of pants.
- can jump 2500 times and still help my kids with homework through out.

Everyone is able to do PCP but no every one can do PCP. Not sure how clear that
is but I’m sure PCPers will get the nuance.

Things I did not know:
I like egg whites and love ratatouille (Thank goodness)
I can jump rope!
my “ideal” weight is not 125 lbs
I’m not big boned

So until RePeak, I’ll apply all I’ve learn and stay clear of the center aisles,
train for my next marathon aiming for my PB, enjoy the summer season like never
before.

Day 88

My head is stuffy, feels like 100 lbs and my ear are aching, but there is a high i cannot deny.
The high to have almost completed a great program which gave me:
-The new idea that I too could be slimmer, and toner, that I wasn't doomed for eternity in the skin i have gotten used to (or rather never really used to).
-Great chats with my fellows PCPer at work , you know who you are.
-The possibility to encourage and be encouraged by a community of cool and fun people who are also taking control and it has been really inspiring.
-Direction (s), it's great to be told what to do and when and eventually why!
-a way to show my kids how muscular their mom can be!
-a body I haven't seen in 20 years.
-quite a few extra HKD in my wallet.
and now i'll go and maybe help some "ignorant" soul find the light, after they knock the 3rd time that is.

Last Week

Lost momentum this week end with a cold that does not want to lighten up and kids sick in turn.

day 82

Weight not moving in the last week, bit of fustration there but stamina is strong albeit the coughing that is not leaving me alone. Indulgence was great with the whole fam going to our favorite french restaurant, loved every bite/sip.
Although I love the carbs in the am I am less than happy with them at lunch and dinner on work days, they feel like boulders in my stomach.
The rest of the diet feels completely sustainable.
Exercises wise still have a hard time on anything that pushes hard on my scarred hand, besides those all good.
The end is near.Oh dear!

Day 77

Must have been in the zone last night while doing the rope, went for 25 minutes, had a great time, tripped once on my first few jumps and then i went on, and on and on. Funny how the msg this morning completely described it. Was friday (no work stress), the kids are on holiday (no homework stress), was bliss.

Day 74

Say, I like white eggs, I do I like them Sam I am.
I'm addicted to the rope (jumping 20 min a day is my dose) and the egg whites.who would have thunk it?
The diet is part of my life now and I feel so much better that it ceased to be a diet and has become the way I eat. of course i'll add on a restaurant here and there in 16 days but with the indulgence mindset.
Still in this last stretch i want to go an other 4 -stubborn- lbs that seem to be feeling quite comfortable where they are and don't want to GET OUT, a little more back, abs and arm definition.let's go get 'em.easier said than done.

Day 72

Great Week end in HK albeit the strong winds from time to time. Hike, w/o and all usual activities that go along w/4 kids on any given w/e, comes monday I need a rest!
The Da Vinci, which in all fairness I never liked, were a complete torture yesterday, my shoulders are sore but going for failure was fun in a way, I'm just glad I failed before my daughter could find the camera to capture my ugly face expressions!
The rest was ok, except thos jumps, are they ever going to feel easier, I think not.
Missing the fruit at night.
All is good on Day 72.

Day 69

It's amazing how much PCP is part of my life right now and how I missed it when we could not access the site! scary...also scary for the post 90 day.
Anyway i love the post today because i was just noticing changes and for the first time in a very long time...or ever, i was thinking: Is that what my body can look like? , wow pretty cool. I got used to hating the belly, the love handles, the flabby arms...etc, like they were intrinsic part of me, now that alot of it is gone, I feel like i don t know the reflection I see, but hey I'm starting to really like it.

Day 66

Hosting 2 kids for mini sevens our school is having is making me cramp my w/o even more in the evenings so we can all have dinner together,  but mornings at the moment are out of the question.
On the plus side most of my skinny tops now fit properly but I have 1 pair of pants that fit only, loving that problem though!

I cannot eat the post w/o i cannot fit it in at night, i eat the banana pre, then dinner then after dinner, or else I'm 100%, hope that won't fubar the whole thing.

day 64

Today was such an amazing day in HK, blue sky and lovely weather. My day started around 6:30 to take the dog out, was so beautiful i went for an unscheduled run with Kali! came back and all the kids wanted to w/o so did sessions of abs ,squats and rope with each of them then went on my 64th day w/o...I was cooked at the end of that but felt awesome.
On the a new week, let's go.

D Day -29

Ok getting rid of the layer, the one occulting the abs the kids are now taking turns poking, trying to make them out.
It's the biggest challenge , for me at least, that and the flabby arms of course that rendered 1/3 of my wardrobe unwearable.
The arms are underway. the belly now needs to make way. It's been there so long though it's like a rent stabilized apartment in the East village, you just don't let go. But the landlord is finally back from lalala land. Away you go!

Day 60

Thanks to all the Geminis and Elisabeth for the support ô so needed. Yesterday exercises went well or most of them...could not do chest dips (too much pressure on the old hand) and the pull ups, but as Paul put it..could not do those even before the injury! Point well made!
Anyway not on the morning routine yet but back indeed.
the enormous amount of food though now that i could allow myself to most...i just could not make it all fit in the evening w/45 min lapse. so skipped before and most of after w/o as well as evening yogurt and felt really good.
Oh a last one for chuckle: Luke, my oldest 13 last night belly punches for rough play: "Mom under a little layer I can feel your abs!" then yelling to his dad: I can feel MOM's abs...it was like he discovered a fine treasue that no one really believed existed...beware Luke, the force is w/ME!

Re-learning the rope

Stitches are off, feels lighter on many levels.
I think with proper bandages i ll be able to pick up a rope again! new beginnings, Hope I did not lose too much, bit scary.
I lost a bit of weight this week and  I'm sure I lost in muscle too, but the had-4-kids-excuse-belly is disappearing faster than I thought and i'm so not letting it in back in my life! Still a few can u pinch an inch tho, so fighting them, with the rope they have no shot.
Back, easing into it but back.

Stitches come off tonight!

Can't wait. doesn't mean i call do pull ups right away but a step in the recovery direction for sure, pumped about doing the abs and legs again!

Day 54

Down a bit, I blame the lack of exercise, the tough nights and the overall depressed state i'm in.
I still wake up early (can't sleep) and read your blogs, but can t face the exercise page as i won't be doing it...
Keep trucking w/diet, no egg white for mid morning, no carb at lunch, and obv no after w/o! the rest i left as is.
Feel free to tweak my next week diet please!

Come come Geminis and all PCPers, give me strength!

Day 51

Never thought I would miss PCP wo but I do. Any help on how to handle PCP with hand issue -no pun- is appreciated. put up a pic of the bobos, or the main ones at least. should be able to do legs stuff shortly though.

Dragging

Back from a week away on the amazing Similan Islands. all went really well except the w/o as the boat was not the greatest to perform the exercises. That being said i followed the diet best way i could except for the egg whites and some of the yogurts.
Friday was our day back and last full day in Khao Lak. The hubs and I decided to go for a swim and landed ourselves on a rock in the middle of the ocean, beautiful.
Morher Nature though decided that that romantic picture was not to last and grounded us like pieces of gruyère. Don't get me wrong I love gruyère...but I may not grind it again with the same fierceness from now on! anyway, a few hours and stitches later I am not going to be able to pick up a jump rope or bands for a while. Stitches come off on march 12th...after bday...
I have taken out my lunch carbs. but pls let me know what else I should be modifying.

Day 40

I went to get my body fat and muscle mass calculated.
Lost 5.5 kilos and went from 26.5 % to 19.3% body fat still a loooong way to go but def on the right track, no loss or gain of muscle. So I manage to maintained what I had while losing weight, I need to lose more of that ugly fat and build more of the lean mean machine.
At day 40 it feels good to get some results.
My w/o this am was tough, was hot and humid even at 4:30 in the am.And my skipping was off, new surface, the early hour maybe who knows, but I'll persevere.
A little nervous about the vaca food wise, but I think i'm just going to go to the restaurant upon arrival and set the law, the PCP law so that I don't have to explain everyday.
so looking fwrd to be there thought! sun sea surf and snorkel!

Day 38 Ouch

Feel like I went under some grinder today after the early morning session. What was that? did not see it coming! Love skiing so I thought those ski jumps thingy...in the pocket..ugh not even close, drilled my triceps like nothing else.
And the bicycle/sit up honestly? my legs are lead, my stomach is marshmallow...anyway. I'll leave alone the pistols and side biceps as i don t want tyo be too much of a cry baby but today was not my fav for sure!
Diet is good, no issues there.

Day 37 I hope

Did it, morning session exercises, first thing!! 4:35 rolled out, had prepared everything last night to not wake the dog up!
and out to the playground was awesome, only thing i forgot was the i-pod...
at 5:20 showered and coffee in hand I was feeling quite smug.
My rope did not cooperate as nicely as it usually does but i guess it's just a matter of getting my feet awaken a bit faster.
No matter felt awesome.
Thank you Gemini and all other sunrise devotees for helping to get my courage up.
Diet all good made some great tortillas-avocado-tomato-lettuce-turkey wrap over the w/e the whole fam ate them too, had 2 felt very full.

Cooking Day non PCP

But only for the kids...and the hubs! Since i spend bit more time in the kitchen, I find myself cooking cakes and onion tart (my favorite) and all kind of stuff and enjoying it, knowing well none of it will be PCP. Bit weird maybe  but it's like i get a kick out of it and don't need the eating part!Wonder if anyone goes through the same thing.
anyway, did my 8 min abs this morning, changed the music and the attire but I followed the motion just the same. Felt the burn nicely for a wo day off.

Day 35

Saturday morning finally! Thursday night temptation went well, did not cave in at all, went home and worked out, not the best wo at all, but done, yesterday was much better, more focused, earlier and less tired. today I'm trying the 8 min abs thingy on top of the skipping. Just peeked at the new wo sheet...new week , new tortures, all's well in PCP world!
Focus wavering? will weakening? I think not!

Day 33

Michael, Paul and the others are right having the wk out done in the AM
must be the best. I just cannot bring myself to do it yet!

But tonight I have to take clients out and Boum, i would have loved to
have them done and dusted instead they are looming over, I know what's
coming. The creeps and other delicacies are in store for me after a
whole day of stress and no one to blame but me! One rep, one wk out, one
day at a time, I'll kick it in gear and on with it.

Day 32

Work out last night took me 43 mins. just the rope took me 15 and I did 1041 in one go, trying to skip a bit faster but still takes a while.
the floor jumps are ok but I'm wiped after, which is a great feeling. the double K...i'd rather not even say? my triceps beg me to stop after the first 5 it's inhuman!
Anyway, not in France like some lucky dude at the moment but still I have the ratatouille with rosemary and thyme to give me that earthy warm feeling I can eat real and good food through it all...until i hit dinner time at least! Like Sashi said, Phase 2 has started team, let's show them!

Day30!

Haven't blogged for a few days, or so the Robot tells me, so better get on it before it loses a screw! Anyway Indulgence you came and went, was nice while it lasted but did not mind letting u go either no hard feelings. Sat night was more about the ritual that the intake in itself and there and then i learn i can do with a lot less that I used to before and still have the special moment with the fam right before dinner. Had a glass of red and a few japanese snack to go with it. It was perfect, I did not eat my fruits and yogurt that night and felt completely fine.
So on to week 5 gang!

Day 26

Time flies when you're having PCP!
Food prep, photo, blogging or reading others, IB, sleeping longer hours, skipping demo at work, and being on the evening show for your kids doing all kinds of silly moves (not counting precious minutes spent checking my new muscles in the mirror!) and oh yeah and a full time job and 4 kids...hmm in 65 days, it'll feel like a vacation!
Have  to say tho, yeh i'm a bit tired, sometimes a bit hungry but all in all i'm loving the changes and already see skipping as routine in my future.
Funny also how we are all thinking quite intensely about our indulgence, will it be a glass of wine or a piece of cake, where before I would have had the wine and the cake and not think twice about it. I'm still thinking but will have it sat for sure!

Day 24

Last night worked out while the fam was having dinner, weird one, but hey. I need to try to make it in the am, soo hard tho!
For the first time though I had yogurt last night w/my fruits, that was awesome.
The diet is good, now that I have ample reserve of veggies with my ratatouille (Thanks Paul!).
Pull ups, Da Vinci, fwd shoulder pulls are all my friends (msg today) I just don't know it yet!

Day 23

Ok i'm seriously losing my trousers (was gonna say pants but could be
confusing for the brits i think!) and shorts, it's becoming past comical
now and looking slightly embarrassing: need belts!. What's weird is
that the scale has not been moving much at all this week, I guess muscle
toning is exactly that, still i would love seeing a 5 handle on the kgs
scale but I still have 67 days to get that challenge done w/, head down, fwd and upward. Watched
the You tube video this am (Thanks Shaun!), will watch it a few more times I think, totally motivated to jump tonight..huh? am i insane? Anyway, later all.

Day 22

Yesterday was tough, ate out for  lunch and dinner, but my PCP resolve was right there with me. didn't touch the nachos, or the deserts, had a salad for dinner, when before it would have just been my appetizer! Fresh mint tea for desert hit the spot. pfew done with that!
The new diet is out, I had a feeling they would do away with the dinner carbs, bring it on.

Day 21

Yesterday's workout was good and the diet is no pb. I'm making a giant ratatouille this week end, can't wait to eat less bland veggies. Paul's been walking passed my desk with those scrumptious lunches and I've had it!
Put on a skirt 2 days ago I had not worn in quite a while, felt great, almost as good as my son saying "we see more muscles on you now Mom!"
Looking fwrd the jumps only today although I may go to the playground and try a few reverse pull ups.

Day 19

Day 19, never had I exercised for so many days in a row before, which feels great mentally, even if on Friday nights i really would like to just sit and  zone out!It's become part of the routine now, and I like that.The diet is bothering the hubs a bit I feel, as I don t feel like going out to restaurant as much, but when he sees the results it'll be all forgiven..I hope!
Anyway, chugging along except for the pull ups and Da Vincis, (pull ups so far 0, DV: i start cringing on 3rd set with something of a neanderthal grunt at the end).

Day 18

Drinking my coffee, after preparing my breakfast and packing my lunch and fruits and now reading some blogs has become routine, the new york times has to wait till I get to work! anyway last night i was interrupted about 5 times during my skipping by all the munshkins in the house so finally i took it all down and restarted it in the outside playground, no music but all quiet! the pull ups....yeh if one day i nail that thing that will be the biggest victory for me. oh and lose than extra 10 kgs i log around...somehow i think it  goes together...anyway, Day 18 already, have fun keep smiling!

Day 16

A new week, a "new" diet not so different, and on we go. Motivation is still there and strong, can't wait to see the results i already feel.
I timed myself for exercises yesterday and was under the 30 min mark, which was good for me, and felt very happy to get a real good sweat albeit the short time.

Day 14

Saturday evening looming on a very warm and beautiful day. The 800 jumps are all done, nice rest for the shoulder muscles! I'll accompany the hubs with sparkling water for pre dinner drinks and I'll have my fruits for snack, who said PCP was anti social? Went shopping today, grabbed stuff for the kids and did not feel the overwhelming - not so distant- sensation of wanting everything chocolate, relieved I could go shopping without fainting, went a bit nuts in the wet market, to reward myself with apples and oranges, hope we're still allowed fruits after tomorrow!!!

Day 13

Yesterday Morning I tried to do at least the skipping, which I did but I was so unhappy with it as I was outside with my dog, I kept on either tripping or having to stop to take care of my lovely morning companion..!
So i got to 700, but really thought that was rubbish. As I was going to the movies at night I figured it'd be better not to leave too much for after. Well I went home BEFORE the theater and redid my skips (368 on first batch, yeh!) and the work out; was satisfied with the nasty burn in my shoulders thanks to Leonardo, and off to the movies!
Not a crazy perfectionist but hey, if I cannot look in the mirror and say, well done, and tried my hardest then who am I to ask that of others (my kids for ex!).
Food not an issue at this point, I was a bit hungry coming back last night and was glad to have the fruits to look fwd to.
Tired in the body but well in the head, that must count for something... happy Fri, all PCPers!

Day 11

Glad I read the training post this am as i went to bed super early last night and felt like i had been ran over by a truck! Makes a bit more sense now.
The da vincis on the 3rd set are defo a struggle, but on a bright note, I found a bar to do my pull ups and they were loads easier than under my dining room table!
Been reading posts to get cooking ideas THANKS to everyone who send ideas and pics, I'll try to post some this w/e, if I get inspired.

Day 10

Ok, Guitly I did it again, did not eat my evening fruits. We took the kids to the movies and at 10:30 pm when we got home, really felt like a hot cup of tea but could not bring myself to eat fruits.What's the appropriate time between dinner and the evening snack?
Anyway i'll give it an other go tonight. Work out was good, have an issue with the anchor point for the standing ovation  i'll work on that... Today I have to do the bar pull ups...looking forward to loving those one day!!!

Day 9

Kung Hei Fat Choy!
Still adjusting to eat veggies, and an egg for bfast, seems like i'm overeating! Although i eat more than I used to in the am, I feel famished by 11.. so my ration of fruit comes in right on time. so for someone who never snacked i'm loving the 6 meals a day! although last night i did not feel like my last fruit intake and skipped it in favor of 1/2 liter of herbal tea.
Hopefully I can escape for an hour to go exercising around lunch time today. Have fun everyone!

NEW ORDER

Last night I kissed my last 1/2 glass of wine good bye and really i wanted to have something decadent but had no space in my stomach to put in so i ended up with a very sensible dinner and a intense satisfaction afterwards, sweet. I read my diet and it seems like a lot of food!

Day 6

Friday is usually a ritual of snacks and port for "aperitif", last night my before dinner was my work out! Which actually felt great, and I was nicely hungry for dinner! I think the hubs was a bit disappointing but did not let it show, bless.

Day 5

Great work out with 2 of the kids, everyone is getting into it, the support is awesome.
The skipping is getting better did 163 in one go.
The diet is fine, looking forward to more small meals (I hope) as i never eat between meals the 1/2 diet can be a bit hard around 11 am and 6 pm (but nothing that willpower can't cure).

Anyway Day 5 was fine bring it on Day 6!

Day 4

Ok Last night dinner was a challenge seeing the kids enjoying a few slices of garlic bread, but ô so satisfying not to have caved!
The work out felt a lot easier on my heart although still working on the rope technique. I finally watched all the exercises videos and got a lot out of the push ups and sit ups, definitely helpful, THANKS!

Day 3

1/2 what I eat is not always as easy as it seems...so I gauge
my self on my oldest (12 boy), and eat half of what he takes unless it's mash potatoes, in which case I'll stick to 1/4!and skip the one chocolate cookie
after the meal but at night we eat mostly Asian food so it's not too bad, I’ve
been skipping the rice for a while now...
Drinking a lot of herbal tea after dinner helps calm the sweets craving.
The rope skipping is still not the greatest, better get decent by day 7, or
that work out is going to be painful...

Day 2

My legs hurt a bit, hope that's normal!
It didn't seem much of a work out but yet, I felt it this am going up the
stairs. I'm not complaining, I actually find satisfaction in pain, like i've
accomplish something...but i've got to get the rope skipping in check fast at
the moment i'm not tip top to say the least!
As far as the diet goes, I think hot water and herbal tea are going to be good
friends…It is going to be easier at work than at home I think, where I can’t
see the kids enjoying cookies and milk!
Ok first day at work with the Program...Good luck all PCPers!
