Day 90

Its taken a few days to post my last blog and as usual it all be short and sharp! My goals prior to commencing the PCP experience were to lose some weight and change my eating habits.....On most weekends we would venture to Starbucks for breakfast with the kids and my choice would be a sausage roll or pie while my wife would have the fruit option and berate me for my choice. How 3 months changes your outlook on food and exercise!

Vegetables - prior to PCP I ate them but not the volume and now I crave them.
Fruit - I didn't really eat fruit at all but now this is part of my diet going forward.
Exercise - I went to the gym, had personal trainers but never really worked out properly. A friend at the gym commented that I now have no time to chat anymore because I am too focused on my workout.

I finally weighted myself this morning and have dropped 11.6 kg which exceeds my expectations.

Thanks to previous colleague from work who encouraged me to get involved and to Teo and Patrick for guiding me through this great program. Well done to Team Gemini for the amazing results that you have all achieved.

Day 81

On holiday, with exercise going ok and food up and down......have been having a couple of glasses of wine also. Lots of comments from family and friends who I have not seen for sometime! Played first round of golf since PCP started and felt strong for the 18 holes.
Not long now to the finish...

Day 73

Feeling better today after the 7's weekend! Dinner Thurs and Friday night and stayed pretty compliant for both food & exercise. Saturday came and decided that it was time to push the boat out (haven't had any indulgence all PCP) and basically had massive day & night. This resulted in no exercise on Sunday as physically couldn't!
Anyway back to business this week and looking forward to the run home and will be on holiday during the last 2 weeks.

Day 69

Busy week at work, so have had my head down although exercises and diet on track. Had work dinners the last 2 nights which I pretty much stayed on diet although a little too much protein consumed. Now approaching the 7's w/e and not sure how this will pan out. Wrestling with being compliant and enjoying a couple of lagers! Let's see........

Day 61

Have been in India this week and to my surprise have been PCP compliant, with the exception of yogurt (hotel version was awful) . Workouts have been tough this week and got to say I am completely cooked by the last set. I do not like the bicycle but have been enjoying the planks and clearly getting stronger.
Have had a number of colleagues intrigued by my weight lost and also complimentary.....have now dropped 10kgs which was my goal, now hoping to build some muscle.
Anyway looking fwd to getting home

Day 54

Been quite on blog this week due to travel and have switched lunchtime workout to the morning. Enjoying the switch but still not a morning person! Have been sticking to the diet but having been craving a beer or two........more travel next week

The Turning Point

My expectations on hitting Day 45 were not met but this has nothing to do with the program. I was hit by fever on Saturday night and only made in back to work today and that was a struggle. Tried to punch out the exercises on Sunday but fell short and actually made myself worse. Skipped a few meals because I just could stomach food, although Tuesday & today have stuck to the diet. Resumed workout today and that was completed at lunchtime, which is usual for me as I am not a morning person.

Still on the mend but determined to get back into the swing of things, but may need to pace myself for the next day or so. Work trip pending next week, so will need to contact hotel with diet requirements in due course.

Had many comments from work colleagues who were not aware I was on PCP and one person even ask if I wasn't well because of my weight loss! Explained its all part of the program......

Day 39

Looking forward to the half way mark....diet & exercises are on track

February 15, 2012 1:39 AM EST

Day 32

Just read Sophie's blog update and it inspired me to post something. Got to say a number of Sophie's top 10 resonates with me in particular 1, 3, 5, 7, not 8 have kids, 9 & 10.....

Finding the exercises are getting serious but am completing full reps, except for the davinci's struggling with the last set of these. Dinner has been interesting but took the advice that its better to make a shake and just drink it, so following an electrical purchase dinner have taken a different shape.

In addition, last Saturday night had a charity dinner to attend and steered my way through this to the best of my ability (shark fin soup, as always was given a wide berth!). Actually, woke up during the night feeling extremely dehydrated and all in all not that great.

Anyway stay strong Team Gemini

Feeling Good

So week 4 is coming to a close and got to say I am feeling pumped! Enjoying the new exercises, food and quite frankly just feeling good. Have not got on the scales since the start of PCP but couldn't resist any longer whilst at the gym at lunch, result was 3.5kg down from start weight.

On the indulgence, not sure I am ready for this yet but will see how the weekend plays out.

Anyway stay strong and focused Team Gemini

Day 21

Skipping today just clicked with PB 417 in a row, let's see what happens tomorrow. Look forward to the new exercises and diet revelations in the morning!

Day 17

Realization today that I lack upper body strength, wow those pull up's were hard. Took note of "burn" message and ensured that exercises were controlled and more importantly they were burning.
Quite enjoying the diet but am struggling with the breakfast, mainly because previously I had very little or skipped altogether. Have work dinners for the next 2 nights so will do my best on this front.

January 26, 2012 12:24 PM EST

Day 12

Enjoying the exercise first thing in the morning and feel more switched on for work......have navigated a week in London and to my surprise I have not been tempted by pints of lager, although a lot of ribbing from work colleagues. Food wise have really just done my best without scales so not sure how successful I have been.
Waiting for my flight back to Hong Kong and for the first time in my life have not been tempted by the food on offer in the lounge. Special veggie meal awaits me on the flight, no wine, cheese, port etc...

January 23, 2012 2:52 AM EST

Day 9

Work out completed early doors, then breakfast. Am going to have to get use to the food intake, as normally have very little to start the day. The hotel kitchen now knows what I require, although wait staff think I am a bit weird! Work dinner tonight and tomorrow so need to do my best......

January 21, 2012 3:46 PM EST

Day 7

Week 1 completed with the 500 jump ropes, although lack coordination and energy after 13 hour flight. Just read the diet for week 2 and this will be a challenging week due to travelling without my scales and work! Anyway will just have to do my best and have at least stocked up on fruit and eggs for breakfast should be fine in the hotel.

January 18, 2012 1:42 AM EST

Day 4

Feeling a bit flat today and not sure whether its a cold or lack of food. Just done my workout at the gym and glad its only the first week program today. Anyway on the food front, I am not having any problems to date and have found the half meals ok.

January 15, 2012 8:36 AM EST

Day 1

Well, after being extremely fired up to kick off PCP last week I have been struck by a stomach bug. Not all bad as the half portions have been the easy part!

At 9pm I managed to get myself down to the gym for the first workout and now feel that the journey has begun.
