Day 25

I didn't really understand if I should be happy or sad about today's training message when I read it during my breakfast. By now, I understand it. Yes I want this indulgence. I am sure I can enjoy and handle it well. Friday's lunch it is at my favorite restaurant in Akasaka. I am looking forward to it.

On the usual grounds, skipping went fine but tripping was at its highest during the 500s. managed to get that off my way and went on to reach the goal. I thought squats was tough.. God this floorjump was even worse. But I didn't do it as shown in the video.. did it as shown in the training sheet. Completed it but it was PAINFUL ! Pushups got better. 3 sets of normal pushups and 1 set of knee on the floor pushup. I have to say, the knee on the floor type was a breeze....lol..Couldn't find the Chicken wing video under the Videos link. but did it well. i felt the heat on my shoulders.. .interesting exercise. My band was perfect for this one. Last comes the V-sit for the abs. failed miserably. couldn't get the top half and bottom half coordination well. Is there an alternative for this one ? I can keep trying the v-sit but until I get it right, any alternative will help my abs a lot I think..

Other than that, its all fine.. diet is fine. except I feel the lunch is a bit heavy... probably cause i have no carbs for dinner my breakfast gets in easier... and then lunch is struggling with me....haha.. what a way to say that.

My colleague looks at my week 1 and 4 pictures and said....ewwww.... i don't want to see that...hehe.. not that I wanted her to see.. but I think I am encouraged by that.. never look down... looking forward to moving ahead...

Next......

You're getting perfect advice from your fellow PCP'ers.  You are not alone with the struggle to do V-Sits.  In fact I think the majority of PCP'ers have commented on them.  Stick with it, with the same determination you've had all along and the changes will happen.  Your body will change, ability to do the exercises, future diet choices.  Keep doing what you're doing.

Hi Sashi
For the V sits I find them OK (because we do them a lot in yoga) and my trick is that your arms go first overhead, then the torso and legs at the same time. When I first started out on them I did legs and arms at the same time, and they're harder that way!
That and really throwing out that breath on the up LOUDLY helped. Not sure if this is useful or if you're reading this saying 'duh, doing that already..'

My nightmare is still the push up. Still on the knees... grrr.
Keep truckin'..

Sophie..... thanks for the sharing the trick.. I owe you a nice bottle of wine may be :-D.. It worked. But I have to say I didn't feel satisfied at the end of the 3 sets that I was supposed to complete.. so went on with one extra set of situps and leg ups.. I feel better...

Hi Ward, Good to know you... I love my aquarium.. do you have one ?

Hello Anne Maree, Yes yes... We will eventually do it.. Its the same feeling I had when I started my push ups..couldn't do it without my knees on the floor.. its much much better now, .. I am confident we can do it if we keep trying...lets keep trying.....

Thanks Teo... whatz with that blue shirt on the training message ? I was expecting more towards a jump roping or a pull-up'ing Teo talking to me.. LoL... next time eh !

Cheers everyone....
