Day 90

Im DONE! Boy, what a pleasant surprise today. Woke up early and was all
ready to get an exhaustive workout list, which given last nights
super-sets, I must admit I was not really looking forward to! But it was
truly a great way to end the program. Completed the exercises in flat
20-mins. Weird how much things have changed.
Patrick, Thomas, Sarah and all the people working behind the scenes,
thank you so much for putting this program together. It would be
incomplete to say that the program is only about diet and exercises. I
would say that its a fitness "education" class which over a 90-day
period really gets health and nutrition en-grained in our heads. Would
never ever under-estimate how important Diet is to leading a healthy
life!
Gonna have my first beer today in 90-days, and it will be a big cheers to PCP! Thanks once again.

The Last dance

Man, Cant believe that its all finally coming to an end. Feels strange
to be honest. Had another fantastic week. Was able to keep up with my
diet and exercise routine for the most part. Energy levels are at an all
time high. Feel like im on a sugar rush everyday. Planning next Fridays
night out now! Happy last week guys.

Week 12

Had a fantastic week. Barring Friday when I got extremely late at work, was able to nail my diets and exercise routine. Was feeling very low on energy initially with the exercises, but strangely, the tiredness changed to bursting with energy towards the end. 2 more weeks left and in a funny way, kinda thinking that all this was the easy part. A very regimented and controlled diet, trainers who are there to always look at your progress etc. After this comes the hard part of maintaining the fitness levels! Oh well, hopefully I have learnt something from the program and have a little understanding of how my body works!

The Week gone by...

So it happened to be my birthday on the 22nd. And rather than going out, I decided to gift myself a full PCP-day! Funny thing was, that something special had to be made for dinner! So I challenged my wife to cook something without cheese, oil or carbs and STILL make it delicious! And boy, was I in for some surprise! Posting the pic below. Its called a "Frittata". Made with Egg whites and a load of veggies! Yummy.. Will try and steal the recipe from her and put it in the Food log.
Had a good week. Except one day when I went golfing, I was able to keep up with the exercises. Its obviously getting harder and harder but hey, we didn't sign for something easy right! Just 3 more week to go guys. This is exciting stuff.

Maintaining 3 meals + 3 snacks

Putting up a general post here as it seems that many people in this group are in banking with similar hours. How exactly do you manage your snacks during the day? I find it extremely hard to do the morning snack in between a brekkie at about 7:45 and then lunch at 11:30am. Any thoughts?

Week 10

I had a great week. Barring Wednesday, when I could only do half sets of muscle exercises (due to an extremely long and un-welcomed day at work), I was able to keep up with the PCP routine to the last gram. It feels great when people walk upto you and say, "hey man, there's something different about you. you look a lot fitter!". And this week there was lot of that, from back home to colleagues at work. Certainly got me smiling! A month more to go. I sure have a big party planned on April 14th, but theres a lot of work still to be done! All the best to everyone.

Week 9

So...had a close friend in town last night and took him out to see the sights and sounds of Tokyo. I lasted the entire night drinking soda-water with mint and lemon!! I did amaze myself, I must admit. Thought last night had all the makings of a "minor" slip.
Feeling extremely energetic these days. Use all of it to spend some real quality time with my little boy. Just a fantastic feeling to see him grow just a little with each passing day and being right in the mix of things. A month and some change more to go... Bring it ON...

Indulgence Day

So get this.. My wife and I order Pizza from our favorite shop in Tokyo (Pizzakaya). I take my first bite and find it extremely salty!! And mind you, this is the same pizza I used to crush before we started the PCP. Next thing (and this came as a HUGE surprise), i could not even finish half of my portion. And even when I stopped, I thought I had totally pigged out. What a huge difference 7-weeks makes!

Week 8

So, we are almost on day 50 now!. The last week was not one of my best. Missed 2-full days of muscle workouts, but kept my diet and jump rope sessions pretty much on target, so pretty happy with that. Also did the 8-min Ab workout today for the first time. What a laugh but at the same time, what a massive burn!! Really good stuff.

Week 7

Sorry guys... been slacking on the blogs this week. But the good news is, that apart from all the chaos (and a lot of fun!) at home with a new born, I was able to nail my diet and my exercise routine last week. Really really thrilled with the effort and I must say, today when I stood on the weighing scale, it sure did bring a smile on my face. I feel stronger, fitter and a lot lot more energetic. I sure see the light at the end of the tunnel here, though the journey is only half way done... Bring it on baby!

Day 34

Been totally drained this entire week. With a 1-week old baby, its been
hard to get a proper nights sleep and the constant running around to
complete a million errands has just drained the life out of me. Chanced upon meeting an old acquaintance today. And he looks at me
and says... "Man you have put on some weight since we last
met...".(True, BUT..). At first I just wanted to punch him. But after
the mindless boring chit chat, I must say, I felt a sudden burst of
energy to work even harder. Came home and crushed my exercises today.
Hope this fire keeps on burning.

Baby boy

Ladies and gentleman:

Had our first baby boy on Friday night, and boy does it feel magical! Both mommy and baby are in top form, while daddy is still pinching himself. Still can't believe how lucky I got.

Have to be honest, PCP has taken a bit of a back seat, though still mainataining my diet. Will get into full PCP mode from Monday!!

WEEK 4

Man do I feel energetic these days. Really happy with the progress so far.

February 3, 2012 5:18 AM PST

The Week gone by...

Had an absolutely horrible week at work. I could have just crush a juicy burger today as well as down a few beers. Strangely, had a Perrier and the craving just went immediately. Just putting something in the mouth helps man! Finished off with a healthy chicken and veggies dinner! Pretty kicked..

Last day of week 2

So tomorrow is kind of an "off day" for workouts as we only have the jump rope to do. Looking fwd to that and the schedule for the 3rd week! Already feeling great!

January 20, 2012 11:33 PM PST

Week 2

Week 1 draws to a close. Already feeling a lot more energetic. A great orientation week and now the tough part starts that I'm sure gonna test as much the mental part as the physical aspect. Lets do it!

January 15, 2012 1:54 AM PST

Day 1

The long road begins. Looking forward to the challenge. Very much the type whose been en-grained with the "finish everything in your plate" from the beginning. Looks like the 1st week itself would be an exciting challenge.

January 14, 2012 2:56 AM PST

Day 0

Look fwd to the program starting tomorrow!
