Day 91

Wahoo - can't believe I made it!  It has been a fantastic journey, discipline being the hardest thing.  My awareness of foods, my eating habits and listening to my body is so much better now.  Can't say my external body change has been significant, but I feel a lot better, with more energy, which was my main intent.
Well done everybody - what a fantastic feat!  I will definitely repeat the 90 days sometime next year.
Thanks Patrick and all the team - feel like my life has been given a new release.

Day 83

Holy hannah - I'm only just hanging in there.  Such temptation around these days (both food and late nights).
Not long to go now.

Day 75

Hi all - still hanging in there, but very difficult with house full of visitors.  I'll tap more tomorrow.

November 18, 2011 6:22 PM HKT

Day 65

All good - just struggling to get my blog done!  Find I'm not eating any more than I was 2 weeks ago, and not needing any seasoning either!  Maybe my stomach has shrunk (on the inside) or maybe my eyes are no longer bigger than my stomach!

Day 58

Hey everyone!  Back from chilly Auckland and have to confess to a total meltdown of PCP principles!  Not feeling too happy with myself, but just going to get back into it tomorrow.  Hope I haven't fallen too far behind!

November 4, 2011 2:42 PM HKT

Day 51

Yesterday's indulgence - hot mushroom, chicken and cheese wrap - disgusting!  The cheese made me feel quite ill (or was it the chicken or the mushroom).  But I've been eating chicken and mushrooms all along, so I'm guessing it was the cheese.

Oh oh - emergency mercy dash to Auckland tonight - don't think I'll get time to do anything but skip!  Back Monday night and straight into it Tuesday morning.

Day 48

Sad to say that my diet flew out the window over the weekend.  I actually felt like shit all weekend - managed to get some skipping in but no exercises.  Think I had some sort of bug and had no energy to get off the couch.  Wasn't TOO overindulgent, but definitely not PCP.  Oh well, I guess that's not too bad for 42 days.  Back to it this week - I'm struggling to get all my food in again, but exercises are going ok.  Loving the timed skipping.

October 27, 2011 4:08 PM HKT

Day 43

So today was real hard - at least I did manage to finish - not like yesterday.  The lunges nearly wiped me out - they seem to take me so long, I'm sure they are getting harder!  I'm still not coping with the full on push-up, nor the full 50 secs on the plank - can only manage about 30.  Diet ok today - but need some ideas for vege snacks - getting a bit bored with cold steamed veges, just as well I love eggs.
Reading Patrick's note for today, haven't felt all that different, probably a bit chirpier, but so gradual that I've only really noticed now that I've thought about it.  Seems I don't need as much sleep and have a whole lot more energy during the day (apart from the last 2 days).

October 26, 2011 7:23 PM HKT

Day 42

Oooh I'm a bit sore today - and unfortunately I've managed to do NOTHING.
The cycling, which I thought would be quite easy, is actually quite painful at the top of my thighs!  Not where I thought it would hurt - maybe I'm doing it all wrong.
First time I've been very sore all over - I'm guessing its the creeping and jumps and v-sits - they are what I'm struggling with the most.  Everything else has left me a little hurt - but not sore like today - unless I'm coming down with a cold, God forbid
Had a nice surprise today though - actually saw some collarbones for the first time in a long while - so something must be happening.
Hopefully back into it tomorrow and my husband will be back Friday so I can finally get a photo taken!  Hope I can see some difference in the photo, cos there ain't no difference in the scales so far!  (Yes, Patrick, I did read your notes about weight, but just a little difference would be nice.)

October 21, 2011 8:38 PM HKT

Day 37

Great day today - thought I'd struggle getting skipping and exercises done - but all good.  Did my exercises this morning at 6am, then big day out in Shenzhen - bit of weight lifting on the way home, if you know what I mean!  Managed to fit in skipping between getting home and cooking tea (for the family, not me) shame we are not all on PCP, would make my life a lot easier!

Had to take a sleeping tab last night to get a full night's sleep - couldn't risk not sleeping until 3am again like night before - it just throws my whole day out if I don't get a good sleep.  Food going ok, although didn't get my afternoon snack in today.  Actually looking forward to tomorrow's exercise - I'm still struggling big time with the jumps and the v-sits - can only get better I guess.

October 20, 2011 1:09 AM HKT

Day 35

Is anybody else having trouble sleeping?  I was in bed at 9.30 to get my full quota of sleep, and have now had to get up and "do" something and its now 1am!!!  Driving me nuts.  I imagined that I'd be exhausted after the exercises and the lean cuisine but I'm bouncing off the walls.
Not sure if I'm doing the right thing, after 10 days doing not being so diligent with the exercises.  I'm now powering in trying to catch up.  Having heaps of trouble with the v-sits - how is everyone else coping - I can't imagine ever getting them right - doing a fine impression of Patrick in the "this is not how to do it" part of his video!  Guess by day 90 I'll be doing them in my sleep (or not)!

October 18, 2011 8:16 PM HKT

BACK TO IT

OK - I've had a shocking 10 days!  Full house of visitors - blah d'blah d'blah.  Have managed ok with the diet, but only been doing skipping and exercises only every 2nd day.  All visitors gone now - so no excuses.  Just get out there and do it.

October 12, 2011 10:37 PM HKT

Day 28

OMG - had 2 really bad days and couldn't get my exercises in.  I'm setting alarm for 6am tomorrow!!!!  I'm amazed at how guilty I feel.

October 10, 2011 9:24 AM HKT

Day 26

Hi all - sorry bot to have blogged for so long.  Delayed getting home from Phuket.  Exercises going well - although feeling the new routine like hell - but diet has gone to cactus!  Have visitors at home for a few days, but at least now have my scales and can get back on track with my diet.  Time is a little tight right now, but I'll get back into my blogging soon.

October 3, 2011 8:26 PM HKT

Day 19

Just finished exercises now - bit wobbly again!  Couldn't get anything done this morning as had a full on day planned.  Pouring with rain here in Phuket - so have a very restless 3 year old!  Stocked up at supermarket today, boiled eggs and steamed veges for breakfast, chicken and salad for lunch - healthy choice Thai food for tea (sort of).
Skipping is going remarkably well - not sure about the da vincis straight after the outside curls - ouch!

October 1, 2011 9:58 PM HKT

Day 18

Mmmh - slight failure in the food arena!  That Thai food is just too tempting - I'm being fairly good in making healthy choices, just not sure of my weights and measures.  I'm trying, really I am!

We were invited to high tea this afternoon (not my normal Saturday afternoon I can tell you) and just couldn't resist those cucumber sandwiches and, okay, just one tiny muffin.  Today has been hopeless, feel like my muscles are made of cotton wool - absolutely no strength or energy (or willpower) this afternoon - just drained.  Maybe there is something to the bio-rhythms theory afterall.

Oh well, I'm not going to beat myself up about it (don't have the strength anyway) - and tomorrow is another day.  Back to the grind!

October 1, 2011 4:30 PM HKT

Day 18

OMG what a day!  Duly did skipping and exercises before 9 this morning - then I've been absolutely whacked for the rest of the day!  Haven't been able to do a thing - my arms and legs are like jelly - even lying on the bed is exhausting!  Think I've hit the proverbial wall!
Bring on tonight so I can sleep ....

September 30, 2011 12:43 PM HKT

Day 17

Woohoo - on holiday in Phuket!  First off - exercises going famously - managing to get all done, but mostly having to split ie, skipping in the morning and exercises in the afternoon.  MOSTLY doing ok with the food, forgot to bring scales with me, so there is a lot of guess work.  But I'm making VERY healthy choices and trying my best to "guestimate" weights.

Not much more to report I'm afraid.  I'm not feeling any lighter (and no scales down here), but I am feeling much stronger and have a bit of pep to my walk now - actually racing up the stairs with my daughter and not taking the elevator is a first for me.  Still in that old tattered one piece bathing suit!

September 27, 2011 8:27 AM HKT

DAY 14

Whoops - amazing how the time gets away.  So easy to get out of the rhythm of blogging everyday, then another day goes by, and then another!
Weekend MOSTLY good - just couldn't get my skipping in on Saturday as it was raining and I can only skip outside as the ceilings are too low on the boat!  (How's that for an excuse!)
Sort of caught up on Sunday doing 250 extra skips - but I know that's not the point.
Still struggling with all the food.  Actually, the diet is not too much different from what I normally eat, just a lot more of it.  Breakfast obviously a lot bigger, and I am sitting down to eat, rather than walking around the boat with a piece of toast in my hand.  And my meals are more regular now.  Although I keep forgetting to eat the snacks then I do remember and its almost too late.

Going to Phuket tomorrow - very excited, although the weather forecast is shite.  Packing all my exercise stuff.  Hope the diet isn't going to change too much between now and 8 October as we only have a small supermarket near our place (Patrick???)
Haven't seen in different numbers on my scales yet!

September 23, 2011 10:20 PM HKT

Day 10[

Today went pretty well - took a bit of rescheduling to get the exercises in.  Don't know how you guys are doing this AND working full time - takes me all morning to work out what to eat - and then all day to eat it!
Have regressed somewhat on the skipping - starting to trip A LOT again - must be all the food weighing me down.
So proud of myself this afternoon - 3 year old's birthday party at the HK Football Club - chicken wings, fairy bread, spring rolls, cake - free flowing champers - normally would have been in like Flynn (and I have the photos to prove it).  But, alas, only one chicken wing and a black coffee passed my lips.  I'm feeling so righteous I'm making myself sick - hope it lasts!!!

September 22, 2011 6:49 PM HKT

Day 9

Oooh - there's been a bit of a ramp up in the exercise department!  Holy cow - those Da Vincis are a killer!  Amazing to find all those little muscles that haven't been used for a while - obviously haven't been flapping my arms around as much as I should have.
Very proud of myself with the skipping - nice mindless, relatively painless exercise.
Foodwise - really struggled to finish breakfast - then nearly forgot fruit snack cos I wasn't hungry, then late for lunch - late snack bit too close to dinner.  I need to get a bit more organised I think.  Hope everyone else is going well.

September 20, 2011 9:10 PM HKT

Day 7

Had to split exercises today - my legs went to jelly after the lunges this morning so had to put off skipping until 5pm.  Seriously getting good at this skipping lark though - which is probably a good thing as I guess there will be plenty more of it coming our way.
Half meals going ok too - last indulgence today - was at airport with husband and he INSISTED on Burger King - BUT I only had half - see, committed!
Anxious to get the dietary changes underway (I'll probably regret saying that very soon!).  In Thailand from 28 Sept to 8 Oct - hope I can everything I need there.

September 19, 2011 7:47 PM HKT

Days 5 and 6

Whoops - would you believe, forgot to do my blog last night!?!  Big day out yesterday - new playground opening - very grand!  Got exercises out of the way early and spent the afternoon running around playground.
Body felt surprisingly ok yesterday after moaning and groaning the day before - BUT this morning one of my hip joints has managed to seize (a mild case of osteo-arthritis which flairs up occasionally).  Couldn't manage to walk properly, let alone skip, until around 5 tonight.  But finished ok in the end - think I'll have to stick to skipping on the cushioned playground surface, rather than the hardwood dock.
Seem to be managing ok on the portions - no changes in my weight as yet, but I'm sure that's yet to come.
Hi to everyone and good luck - looking forward to reading some of your blogs.

September 17, 2011 11:36 PM HKT

Day 4

All good today - all of yesterday's sore bits seem to have disappeared.  Had a slight panic this morning when I wondered how I was going to get my skipping in - weekend and no husband to watch my 3 yo daughter (ceiling height on boat is so not condusive to skipping indoors) - but all resolved in the afternoon.  Took Millie to the park and could watch her while I was skipping.  Perfect plan.  Very impressed with my skipping - tried a new technique and sailed through!  Yeehaa!  Took said daughter for dinner and shared a meal with her.  Now for some well earned sleep.

September 16, 2011 11:18 PM HKT

Day 3

EVERYTHING hurts!  All was ok until about 8pm when I sat down and relaxed - then tried to get up again!  Holy cow - suddenly feeling very, very, very old and very, very sore!  Nothing to do but sleep on it I guess.  Surely this is a good thing.  BRING IT ON!  I can do it!  I WILL do it.
Rather proud of my skipping today - managed 48 without tripping - baby steps I know, but a massive improvement on yesterday.

September 15, 2011 11:01 PM HKT

Day 2

Day 1 is over - and has been fairly painless.  Experienced major technical difficulty with the skipping.  Don't think I've skipped since school (and I probably couldn't do it properly then either).  Seemed to take me a very looooong time - tripping almost every third skip.  Dripping with sweat by the end - got to be good for me!  Half food portions were ok - although had to stop myself nibbling during the day as I usually do.  Problem is I hardly ever eat a full meal for breakfast or lunch and am somewhat of a snacker - then tuck into a big meal at night - guess that will have to change real soon.  Psyching myself up to upload my scary photos - cringing as I think about it!
