Day 92

The home straight and over the finishing line of the 90 days of PCP was not ideal....  Man Flu had the better of me for a good 4 days!  I have my last photo still to post and will do so shortly.

Overall the PCP experience has been a good one! I have learnt a lot... not just about diet but mental endurance too.

I started PCP weighing in at 114kg.  As of Day 90 I weigh 100.5 kg !  I have since had a mass wardrobe cull...   Not one suit fits how it should any more and I now have just one pair of jeans that dont make me look like Im into Hip-Hop scene! Even some work shirts that use to be comfortable look ridiculous.....   this is gonna get expensive !!

Will be continuing with my daily PCP over Q1 2012 as I still have a few fights in the diary with the Main Event in Macau being held March 16th.

Will wait to hear back from Patrick / Thomas re; which weeks are recommended to keep on rotation....?

In the mean time....   Thanks to all at PCP! A highly recommended project that everyone should do even if just for the re-education diet !

Day 79

In hindsight,PCP has flown by... With the end on the horizon I guess its given me the kick up the ar$e I needed !  Have dropped down to 102kg ( last night ) from 114kg  (Day 1).  Driving for another 4kg by day 90 but think that maybe overly optimistic. Confident I'll keep it going at current pace till the end and more than aware that to lose that last 4kg will be down to maintaining the diet with no "indulgence days" or even a "indulgence half hour" ! Creeping into Party season ( Not literally.. hate that f*king exercise!) will make the final days even more difficult. Have been picking my battles wisely but still have 3 dates in the dairy between now and the end of PCP. Tonight's drinks which could easily have been avoided but actually looking fwd too  / Client dinner & drinks mid week next week and Dinner with a friend who's in town for 1 night next weekend. Im not putting any money down on being t-total but will adjust the diet where necessary.

Day 71

I wish I had written my blog earlier today as I would have had positive points to make! I feel a little less enthusiastic after eating way too much turkey !!! This is probably only the second time I have felt like I have eaten too much since starting PCP and its still not as much as I was eating before !

So I had two rest days last week in preparation for a white collar boxing match. I really did need it too... My body has been feeling battered for some time now. I got a great result from the fight although I feel disappointed at the same. I secured a win with a TKO in the 1st Round. without sounding over confident, it was an easy win. I would have strangely preferred more of a challenge. I hope I'm not made to eat those words for the next fight on Dec 16th !

I plan to continue PCP when it finishes on Dec 14th as its been great for extended training... My fitness is better than its been in years. Which weeks should I keep on rotation? 9-11 9 - 13 ?  what do'ya say Pat ?

Exercises I hate and ultimately change to an exercise I like / dont mind:
*Creep - switch to Floor Jumps
*Kung Fu Sit up - switch to V-Sits / Side Crunch
*90second Plank - switch to 60second Plank ( but Im working on it !!!!)

PCP exercises takes me appx 80mins at the moment with the jump rope taking up 20mins of that time up.

Still Enjoying it !!!

Day 63 - Resting

Have continued to maintain the exercises ( with 2 missed days since last blog ! ). I have been good with my diet but unable to weigh up what Im eating. I haven't gained any weight but haven't dropped any either so maybe my visual weighing is a little off !!!  or maybe it was 2 days of drinking with clients over the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ( Brilliant 2 days by the way! ).  Now, on recommendation, resting from the PCP exercises as I have a white collar boxing match Friday evening!  Will be running and pushing on further with the jump rope... but no weights !  Assuming I can still walk, I will be back to weighed diet and full PCP exercises as from Saturday!

Day 54

When the training and diet are going well I tend to forget to blog... when I blog its usually because I have a confession !    Well here it is:  Totally fell off the diet and training Saturday & Sunday! Not gonna beat myself up over it.I know exactly what I need to do.. get straight back on again! Saturday's glitch has me still on the ropes! Chances of a puke riddled training session will be high this evening!!!! For those of you who may have had a little something extra, do not worry! Not content with enough booze to kill a horse (it was a celebration after all !!  I got engaged!) , I also destroyed a 12" Pizza on a solo mission ! Sorry Pat.. Im back on the eggs...

Day 51. 10kg down !

Once again...  Late in blogging! Really glad to see the back of week 7s training program even though week 8s is stepping up another gear.  I feel like I have been run over and not due to a big night out...  Having issues with both  shoulders and my right knee! Taking the jump rope at a slower rate as a result.

Weight has yo-yo'd over the last 10 days. Started PCP bang on 114 kg. Got down to 104.5 kg last week which then bounced back to 106kg. Was happy to see 104 kg on the scales last night. Dont really wanna drop any more weight but need to shift the extra 2 inch's I want to lose from my stomach to my arms !!  Easy said than done of course....

Day 42: Slight Wobble !

Didn't realise it had been so long since blogging!   All my cards on the table:  Have continued on the training program but have wobbled on the diet.. Nothing serious but enough for me to feel bad enough to mention. I have family in town and those good intentions of having my apple, banana and egg white before joining my Mum for dinner have been good... Only problem being I have buckled a handful times... Not indulging in deserts or anything refined but still eaten more than my allocated allowance (albeit still healthy). Haven't gained any measurable weight - Yet !   I Will correct my wrong !

Day 33

Cant quite believe we've just passed the 1/3 mark ! Has passed quickly... although when I think of the diet for a another 57 days it still seems like a long way to go!!!  Just gotta keep my head down and carry on!
Missed training yesterday...Have told myself its for good reason as my shoulder is taking its time to heal from last weekends Wake Boarding. Feel guilty for missing it !  The training sessions are becoming more difficult... I've never been one for  the pull ups and doubt I'll ever will be.. 4 x sets of 9 ??? may as well be 4 x sets of 90 !  will keep trying !!!  Getting bored with the diet but appreciate just how important it is to maintain...  Boxing training is proving to be more of a struggle than I was expecting too. Arrogantly thought I would breeze through the PCP and Boxing training on much less carbs than Im used too...  Not quite the case!  Bring on Week 6 exercises and diet !!!  No more Eggs.... please !

October 10, 2011 10:31 AM HKT

Day 26 - 4KG down !

Weighed myself half way through week 3 and was pleasantly surprised to see I had dropped 3.5 KG.  A week later and I have now dropped 4KG since starting PCP. Was hoping for more but cant complain. Have injured my shoulder after a 2 hour Wake Boarding session Saturday morning... Fingers crossed it has not interrupted any of the PCP exercises.   Clothes that I haven't even attempted to wear for some time and for good reason are back out again !! they fit !  I still have a long way to go to reach my goal but a big incentive to push even harder is dropping 4kg in 25 days !

Dont like The Creep ( Duck Walk ) at all !!!!!!!!

October 3, 2011 10:24 AM HKT

Day 19

Has been a week since writing my last blog. Stuck to the diet and training though out the week although I buckled under the pressure of Saturday night !!!  Missed my PCP exercises on Sunday as a result....     Back to it today!!! Feeling guilty !!!!

September 26, 2011 8:38 PM HKT

DAY 12 - semi glad to see the end of a weekend !

My weekend was chilled. Stuck to the training and diet. Echo Ben C...  too many temptations over a weekend !!! At least with midweek life there is some kind of structure! But... I did it. Knowing that its highly unlikely I'll be as focused next weekend kept me on the right path.

Boxing training tonight.. I must have covered todays PCPs training program over the 60mins of hell I endured ! Well its gonna have to of as I didn't do my PCP exercises !  Intended to get them done before work.... Didnt happen!  Then told myself i would do my PCP after boxing... Didnt happen! Lesson learnt: PCP before work everyday!

DAY 10

An early start for a Saturday!... I've recently been introduced to Wake Boarding. This has given me a reason to stay in Friday nights and be on form for the 2 hour morning sessions myself and a handful of friends have been doing for the last few weeks. If you've tried it before you'll know its a work-out in itself ! All good fun and the perfect way to start a healthy weekend !
Experienced my first ever BBQ where I didn't eat anything or drink any booze!! Watched the burgers being inhaled by the other guests from a distance... Needless to say I wasn't there for long!
Hit the gym for day 10s PCP exercises at 9pm! WTF ! I appreciate I'm in the "honeymoon period" of my relationship with PCP and regardless of my consistent moaning about the diet, I am actually really enjoying it.

DAY 9

Week
one done. Seems like we we're given a gentle intro to the PCP world. A
noticeable difference for week 2. Training going well and importantly enjoying
it !  Diet: What a pain in the ar$e the weighing of everything can be. Decided
bulk preparation is the way forward. Last nights dinner is today's lunch also
and probably tonight's dinner too ! Not ideal but easier to maintain the strict
weight restrictions. 130g Carbs for breakfast?? I make that almost 4 slices of
wholemeal bread !!! is that right? I wasn't eating that much before PCP
!!! Looking forward to the weekend where more time and consideration can go into
the limited food choices I seem to have.

DAY 5

Today was a good day... I think...
Wanted to hit the gym before work which I was doing just a few weeks ago.... FAIL.  Did go straight after work and worked my a$$ off smashing through my PCP exercises and those that I use to do years ago..those I could remember and with significantly lighter weights!
I have only just read the last few days Training messages and discovered that my efforts this evening could probably have been more successful with Jumps / Squats / Push ups / Sit ups.  Better late than never!  Surprised and disappointed that The Worlds Strongest Man style exercise is not gonna benefit me in the long run. I do appreciate that this project is to retrain the brain and your daily routine. Will I still be pushing weights that make me look like Im shitting my shorts for the rest of days?....No. So slow and steady it is...... I can do slow and steady.

Gym before work tomorrow and every weekday morning from now on. No ifs.. No buts..slow and steady!

September 18, 2011 11:31 PM HKT

First Blog... DAY 4... A little later than I intended.

Being honest... Day 1 & 2 I reluctantly did the exercises and really struggled with the half portions.. well..I didn't stick to half portions...I ate what I usually would !  Not the start I was intending.  Has been a different story days 3 & 4. Amazing how quickly your body can adjust to a reduction of food. I've obviously been eating twice the amount I've needed ( see photos for proof).  My appetite is already noticeably less than before! Looking forward to seeing week 2s program and diet plan.
