Final Blog

A brilliant three months journey!

Some many changes, so many learning's. What I have learnt in the past three months, so valuable that wit will remain forever.
I have changed completed they way I used to understood diet. I have already blogged about this so not going to repeat.

I know understand the science behind being fit and healthy.

I wish there ware more programs like this which I can do every year which can change and add so much values to life.

The Last few days....

Been a wonderful three months....
I have changed they way i used to eat...
Today's article was brilliant.. we all have a choice to pick the best... its up to us...
i used to consider myself a good cook but know i know how to cook the same food in a more healthy way...

My days starts with milk and breakfast and end with milk and fruit. In between, i eat tons of vegetables....

Thanks to everyone in PCP.... This will always remain one of the BEST program i have ever joined.

Bad Week

A very very bad week indeed for my PCP. Missed workouts all week… even skipped jumpropes for 4 consecutive days…
Now finding it difficult to get back to the workouts… the rhythm is gone...

Have continued with the diet to the grams… though had to take wife out for dinner one night, eat in a controlled manner..

But still am loosing weight, lost around 1/2 KG and saw my waist reduced by one stop past week…

which means, tough with a controlled diet, I am still loosing weight but because of lack of workouts, not building any muscles …

Have to get back to the workouts….

Day 58

Bit tired with the workouts... Missing them regularly..... Following the diet and jump ropes daily.

Trying hard to get motivated to do the workouts.... Thinking of joining a gym, so that I can pull a hr of strength exercises on the machine.... Just not be able to do them at home....

Half way

Happy the way PCP is going.... I have control over my diet, other day, there was doughnut at office, normally I would pick 2 of them, but this time didn't even looked at them...

weight lost be pretty much stable... have lots 13kgs starting nov-mid (7kgs pre PCP)

still can't say 100% on the strength exercise... not my strength area,...

already started changing my wardrobe... enjoying every bit of buying the tightest clothes.....

still, lots to looses in the abs.... but now I know the formula... definitely will get there.... someday!

Not so bad! Not so good!

Bad Week as far strength workout goes… have missed it 3days on row… just too tired after office.

Haven't missed ropes till today, but looks like today will be that day, have to be at work till 12PM.
Have a pair of ropes at office, may get out and do them...

Diet, no problem, to the grams. Really enjoying it.

Still seeing drop in weight, but very little. For the first time in many many years, so 69" on a weighing scale (69.8) woh!
Trousers are getting loose every week, which means I am burning fat. Nice!

Changes in ME

Blogging after long time… should make it a regular habit…

Today, I want to write about the changes I have seen in me….
True, I think in one of the message, Patrick mentioned in one of the message PCP about "Life long changes" ...

Changes in ME
1. I can run 100yards straight without catching breath or cramps in my knees….
2. I can fit into a 30" size jeans… (normally wore 35-36" before)
3. Breakfast if now part of my life… (I would start my days with a Starbucks Caramel Macchiato earlier)
4. enjoying how good vegetables taste… I would normally tell my friends.. I am allergic to vegetables… My diet was all meat…
5. enjoying every bit of the shopping… no more have to looks for XL size… I can now fit into M
6. enjoying walking in the corridor when every next person would tell be hey! You look thin… U lost weight

Day23

With the carbs gone from the dinner, will have to be innovative to make the dinner interesting. Yesterday was chicken salad.
I can now go thru the jumpropes in sets of 150 * 7reps... Ordered a new set of ropes yesterday with a counter and calories count build-in. Lets see how it is when I get it.

Still struggling with the pushup and haven't managed to do inclined-pulls. Can't figure out how to do them at home (inclined-pulls).

Day 12 - a Good Day

Today was a good day.... 
Did all my workouts.

Made a Big Steam :)
Enough veggies to last me till Sunday.

Hope, like the big steam... their is a solution to do the workouts....
Never been a gym guy, so doing the complete exercise is the biggest challenge....

Long Day!

Long day at office today... haven't done my exercise yet.... another couple of hours before i can leave...
Hope to do the ropes and the lunges at least... 8hrs of sleep... probably not today....

Time to catchup with the blog

Yes! I have been missing blogging for quite sometime… no excuse!!

MY PCP till now… 

Exercise
The first few days, struggle with the exercise… timing.. Where to do the ropes… Leaving in Tokyo apartment, just can do the ropes inside…
On winter mornings, going out early in the morning was a struggle… till someone suggested.. why not use the balcony… problem solved! Haven't missed exercise past 4days!

Ropes early in the morning before office, follow up with the remaining exercise after returning from work.

Diet
Was waiting for the diet menu… how to be creative with the restrictions

Recipe (picture below)

Lunch
: 140g Carbs, 170g Veg, 120g Protein
Top:
170g Steamed Vegetables Salad (for dressing, dash of lemon juice with fed drops on extra-virgin olive oil, cilantro)
140g Carbs: 1cup White Basmati Rice
120g Protiens: 1pc Yellowtail Fish maninated with Greek Yogurt and Mustard and lightly pan-fried with few drops of olive oil.

Bottom(work Lunch)
- 2 sticks of chicken pepper sataya... 140g proteins....
- veggie salad... 170g veg
- 1 bread... 100g carbs...
 
Dinner: 80g Carbs, 170g Veg, 100g Protein
80g carbs, 100g proteins: Chicken Panini with whole wheat bread… (for the fillings, lean portion of chicken breast, minched, stir-fried with green peas and little curry masala)
170g veg: Steamed Vegetables Salad

Afternoon Tea: 170g Fruit

Day 2 - Exercise a challenge!

It has been my dream to get back to the flat waist for quite some time. Past 15years, living on fried food, daily coke and rich caramel Starbucks coffee every day morning has pushed me to wearing XL size cloths… Whenever I would see something nice, either they won't fit , or that ugly bulge around my hips to desist me from buying them….

Being an active photographer, I could never pick a photo which me on the frame, cause that double chin or bulge around the waist would spoil the pictures….

Couple of months back, I heard on of my college has been thru the PCP program and was amazed to see how much he had changed over the course of the project…
Being an IT professional, I have been doing 3months project all my life… so I thought, why not I do this which will make my life so much better… this was 2 months back when I used to weight around 82Kgs.

I knew, first I had to get rid of my horrible eating habits…  out went the daily coke (replaces it with a bottle of oolong tea), no more morning Startbucks coffee… but I still go to Starbucks daily and instead pick up the yogurt pack..  no more munching on snack/chocolates in the evening, No change to my lunch pattern, but in the evening, I reduced my portions to half.  I have never been a gym person, but do walk back from office to home, 2-3days a week around 4KM.
The results was a drop in 8Kgs, I am now weighing around 74.2Kgs. None of my office trousers fit… I had to buy new pair during the year end…

This was my preparation to start PCP. I have to get used to the daily exercise routine, that I think will be the most challenging part for me…. I failed today morning… being not a morning person… thought of doing the exercise bit in the morning but couldn't get up… I need to find a slot when I will be able to do this regularly…

That’s all for today…. More tomorrow, how successfully I was with my exercise… and some pictures too….

Lunch Diet: 140g carbs, 170g veg, 120g protein Preparing the Chicken/Liver Masala:- 1. Chicken/Liver: Marinate 200g of bite size chicken breast with a tsp of garlic/ginger paste plus 2tbsp if Yogurt (Greek yogurt preferably), couple of big dry red chilies as per taste... overnight 2. Stir fry the marinated chicken + 200g of chicken liver over high heat for 4-5min and cover and slow cook for 1--15min… Dry off the juice from the slow cooking for high heat for 2-3min. Refriger
